Untitled design (8)The funding from the Community Impact Mitigation Fund- a fund negotiated with EDF Energy to mitigate the impacts of Hinkley Point in West Somerset - has enabled us to carry out our Somerset's Brilliant Coast Project.

This three year coastal project focuses on connecting people who live, visit and work on the coast with our stunning coastline – a place that has been little explored, valued or understood to date. Working on this Project is Community Engagement Officer Tilda Gibbs. knot Our Coastal Ambassador Nigel Phillips explains the vast journeys that winter waders such as Knot make in order to feed on the mudflats of Bridgwater Bay, and how important Somerset's coast is in supporting these birds as a vital feeding ground and winter home.
