About the event

Led by Vanessa Lloyd of the Sea Watch Foundation, this session will start with an introduction in Creator Space at the East Quay Gallery, Watchet. This will include an illustrated talk on the general biology and classification of cetacean species, species identification, conservation issues and recommended survey methodology. This will be followed  by a sea watch on the nearby Watchet Harbour Wall to put our skills into practice.  The afternoon survey can be attended without taking part in the training (see separate event on the What's On page for details).
