Blue Anchor Beach Clean
Saturday 4 May 11:00 - 13:00
Plastic Free Minehead and West Somerset Together are organising a Beach Clean at Blue Anchor. The clean will start at 11am and end about 1pm. After the clean we will gather to sort the litter that has been collected. This event is part the campaign to get Minehead and West Somerset recognised as a Surfers Against Sewage Plastic Free Community. This campaign is supported by Somerset Wildlife Trust, Surfers Against Sewage, West Somerset Together and Channel Adventure. We will give us a briefing on what to expect before we start.
Watch this space for further beach cleans and other related events to be run over the coming months and visit the campaign’s Facebook page at Plastic Free Communities - Minehead and West Somerset.
The weather could still be inclement so bring waterproof clothes and sensible outdoors shoes for walking on the beach. Gloves, bags and litter pickers will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have them.
Where: Meet at 11am on Blue Anchor Promenade opposite the Drift Wood café. There is free parking along the road.
Contact/Booking: Booking not required. For more information contact Beth Cahalan on or Mark Ward on or 07880 754750
