Thanks for your interest in Somerset Wildlife Trust. We are able to offer talks delivered for a general interest adult audience on: "Taking action for wildlife in your home, garden and community".
Our talks are delivered by a small group of trained volunteers who are well-versed in public engagement and the work of Somerset Wildlife Trust. There may be the option to tailor the content and focus of your talk depending on your audience - in conjunction with your allocated speaker.
If you are a gardening group some of our speakers, depending on their availability and expertise, may be able to give a more specific talk on wildlife gardening (see also Wilder Champions Gardening Advice)
Currently we do not have the capacity to offer bespoke talks on specific topics, species or reserves and usually we are unable to provide a specific staff member to talk to you unless they are working on a specific funded project.
Where possible, we will endeavour to match you to speakers that are available for your chosen dates or location, although this may not always be possible.

Pricing
Small community groups with limited funds for speakers
£50 suggested donation* in advance and/or FREE but with individual donations/retiring collection from attendees at the talk with suggested amount per person to equate to £50+ in total.
Community (no-profit) groups with dedicated speaker budgets or more than 50+ attendees
£80 minimum donation* in advance (individual donations from attendees at the talk also welcome)
Profit-making organisations, corporations or businesses
£150+* fee in advance (individual donations from attendees at the talk also welcome)

Please be aware that talks are time intensive for the charity and only occasionally lead to additional memberships or donations, so we ask you to consider donating more than the minimum if you can to support our core work protecting wildlife and wild places. £150 covers the full cost of your arranging your talk, administration, volunteer travel and expenses and continues to support us to offer events and talks. More than £150 covers the cost of your talk and contributes to the wider work of the charity to protect wildlife and wild places across Somerset.

Your group is responsible for arranging the publicity and venue. Please be aware we cannot directly promote your talk on the main SWT website/events pages or post it directly on our SWT social media platforms. You can join Team Wilder Facebook and help promote your talk from here.
Our speakers will require a laptop and projector set up. Please also ensure suitable audio equipment is available.
Presentations can be sent to you by WeTransfer or using a USB stick on the night.
