Talks from Somerset Wildlife Trust

Thanks for your interest in Somerset Wildlife Trust. We receive lots of enquiries about giving talks about our work to different groups around the Somerset. We are able to offer a small selection of talks delivered by staff or volunteers on key topics.

Please be aware we do not have the capacity to offer bespoke talks on topics, species or reserves. Nor can we guarantee a specific staff member will be available to deliver your talk. The majority of our talks are delivered by volunteers for a general interest adult audience. We cannot guarantee someone will be available for your chosen dates or location.

Project specific talks

Somerset Wildlife Trust work on lots of different projects across Somerset, focusing on different communities, habitats and species. Project specific talks are usually offered free of charge (donations still appreciated!) but are generally restricted to a specific geography. Current project talks available:

Pine Martens Bounce Back project

Available in West Somerset (Exmoor and surrounds) only. Please do not enquire if outside of this area as we will not be able to facilitate your request at this time.

Our pricing

Our general talks are offered to community groups by donation, with a minimum donation to cover costs. Please be aware that talks are time intensive for the charity and only occasionally lead to additional memberships or donations from attendees, so we ask you to consider donating more than the minimum if you can to support our core work protecting wildlife and wild places.

£80 is our minimum donation (depending on location). This helps to cover the cost of arranging your talk, administration, travel and volunteer support.

£150 fully covers the full cost of your talk and continues to support us to offer events and talks. Please note this is the minimum donation for large groups (50+) and profit-making organisations.

£150 + covers the cost of your talk and contributes to the wider work of charity to protect wildlife and wild places across Somerset.

If you are looking for a talk or activity for your business or corporate group, please see here.
