New Year Wilder You - COSY

New Year, Wilder You

Stay Cosy

Be part of something amazing this January

Start your year with small, meaningful steps to finding your place within nature – for your wellbeing, your community and the planet!

Nature includes all of us - whoever we are – even when we’re on the sofa under a cosy blanket! Whether we enjoy getting crafty, reading a nature blog, cooking with seasonal fruit or veg, joining (or starting) a community nature group, planning a wildlife-friendly garden, or chatting with friends about nature, we can stay snug while caring for the natural world.

We know January isn’t always the most appealing month to head outdoors, but nature can feel cosy – whether you’re inside or out!

Getting creative

Exploring the diversity of nature, with all its patterns, shapes, colours, textures and stories, can inspire our own creativity. Taking time to draw, play, write in a journal, knit, stitch, build, or craft with nature in mind can help us manage everyday stresses and bring moments of calm.

Focus on nature

We can also explore nature through the creativity of others. Reading a nature blog, book, or article can help us learn more about the natural world or gain a new perspective. Likewise, listening to podcasts or watching documentaries or online videos can help ‘bring nature indoors’ when January is at its least appealing outside!

The ultimate cosy

There's something especially cosy about wrapping up warm and venturing out for a local walk, taking a few moments to look and listen for nature in our everyday surroundings, before returning home to a steaming mug of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate!
