Wilder Open Gardens

Be part of a growing movement

Open your garden and raise funds for wildlife

Are you proud of your organic vegetables? Is your bug hotel 5-star? Or have you created your own tranquil mini meadow?

Whether you have an acre of land or a small patio, we know for a fact that the passionate wildlife gardeners of Somerset are using their plots to help nature thrive. Even a small garden can have a huge impact on wildlife. From essential sources of water to a pollinator banquet, our gardens can create essential habitats that support a wide range of species and also help with our own sense of wellbeing.

We’re challenging the brilliant wildlife gardeners of Somerset to cast open your gates and invite friends and family – or maybe even your entire village – to come and see your own personal patch of paradise. You can help showcase wildlife gardening, demonstrate what’s possible and maybe even raise some money to help our ongoing work across the county.

It really doesn’t matter how long you’ve been wildlife gardening or how big your garden is, it’s a chance to join a growing movement and spread the message . Our Gardens are essential for Somerset’s Wildlife.
