How we deal with enquiries
Somerset Wildlife Trust experiences a high volume of enquiries of all different kinds. To save us time and to get your query answered within 7 working days, please choose carefully from the list further down this page.
If your query does not fall into one of those categories, then send an email to the general enquiries email here. We'd be grateful if you do not email multiple email addresses.
If your enquiry is regarding: wildlife crime, wildlife emergency, general wildlife advice, what to see when and where, reporting a sighting, planning or tree planting or other similar issues, then please visit our FAQ page below, where you may find the information you are looking for. if you are looking for ideas on how to take action for nature and the environment in your home or garden, we’ve got lots of ideas for you here.

Ways to get in touch
By post: Somerset Wildlife Trust, 34 Wellington Rd, Taunton, TA1 5AW.
(Please note, admin staff are in once a week, so there may be a slight delay in your post being processed.)
By phone: 01823 652400. Telephone enquiries are open from 9am–4pm, Monday to Friday. Please note we have a very limited number of staff available to answer the phone; if you are unable to get through, you can leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

If you’re unable to reach us by phone, email is often the quickest way to get in touch. Your enquiry will be directed to the most appropriate member of the team, and we aim to respond as soon as possible. Please include as much detail as you can to help us deal with your query efficiently.
(Please note that our offices are not open to the general public, so please don't visit unless you have made an appointment with a named member of staff.)
