There are lots of ways of involving the children in thinking about your local wildlife and raising money at the same time.
Here are a few of our ideas to get you thinking but you are sure to have others, let your imagination (or the children’s) run wild!
- Organise a non school uniform day and dress up or down or come as a rabbit! Children love dressing up and a wildife theme could be lots of fun.
- Hold a wear your wellies to school day but make sure they have been washed off first!
- Make wildlife themed biscuits or butterfly buns and sell them at break time.
- Go on a sponsored wildlife walk across a local nature reserve or keep it local and arrange a bear hunt or gruffalo safari through the swishy swashy grass at the bottom of the school field!
With every penny you raise we can do more to protect the wildlife and wild places of Somerset.
