About the event

During this session you will hear first hand about the peatland restoration techniques SWT are utilising to raise water tables, reduce carbon emissions and restore nature to a previously intensively managed dairy farm.

This session will include a walk in addition to a practical element, so study footwear/wellies and outdoor clothing is advised.

Our Youth Volunteering days are for those between 12 and 18 years old. We do not expect parents to attend with those under 18, you will be sent a parental consent form ahead of the event.

Notes: There will always be a member of staff or highly trained volunteer and first aider on site. Please be aware that there are no toilets on the site, but otherwise there are plenty of trees and bushes to go behind!
