About the event
We know it’s NOT ‘growth vs. nature’ — join us for a live webinar to find out why! We’ll be sorting the facts from the fiction and digging into some of the polarised language appearing in the headlines recently (and the blame being placed on species like newts and bats!).
We’ll also be giving you a basic overview of how you can engage with different layers of the planning system, encouraging the integration of nature into the process from the beginning.
We’ll be answering questions like:
- Which species might be affected by new building developments?
- Why is species monitoring so important?
- How might you respond to a local planning application, and what are some of the valid reasons to object to an application?
Speakers will include:
- Becky Pullinger, Head of Land Use Planning at The Wildlife Trusts
- Daniel Mackley, Nature Recovery Manager at Somerset Wildlife Trust
This webinar is part of our Wilder Matters series, online events which help you get to the heart of the biggest environmental topics of the moment and their relevance to Somerset. We recommend you join us on the night for the full experience, as we cannot guarantee recordings will be made available promptly after the event. For your privacy, the Q&A session will not be recorded.
