The Big Somerset Synchronised Sea Mammal Survey (1): 31st July
About the event
Run in conjunction with Somerset Wildlife Trust's Somerset's Brilliant Coast Project and the Sea Watch Foundation, this synchronised survey will be carried out at multiple locations along the Somerset and North Somerset Coast between 11am and 1pm on 31st July. No previous knowledge or training is required but we will provided people with information in advance. A YouTube Somerset SeaWatch Training Video is available. The second survey will take place on the 12th September.

Know before you go
What to bring
Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. Bring snacks and something to drink too. You will be staying in one spot for several hours. You may also wish to bring a ‘sit mat’. A good pair of binoculars is highly recommended.
