Great Eggcase Hunt Family Beach Adventure
About the event
Take part in some beach adventures and contribute to shark conservation at the same time! We’ll be searching Minehead’s strandline for empty shark, ray and skate eggs (also known as mermaids purses), to discover which species may be laying their eggs in the Bristol Channel. All our findings will feed into the Shark Trust’s Great Eggcase Hunt’s citizen science project to help increase knowledge of the UK’s sharks and rays. Families will also have the chance to play some games, create some beach art and earn an Easter treat!
Suggested donationSWT policy is not to charge for family events. However, donations will be welcome after the event.
