About the event

Francis Farr-Cox will explain how Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), which is used to plot river levels in the Somerset Levels and Moors, revealed this ancient river, which disappeared in the late middle ages. Part of its course still forms the ancient boundary between the parishes of Burnham and South Brent (Brent Knoll). The use of LiDAR in water level management will also be explained.
