SeaWatch March Survey - Portishead
About the event
One of a monthly series of two hour surveys for porpoises, dolphins and other marine life being carried out along the Somerset and North Somerset Coast throughout the year. Run in conjunction with Somerset Wildlife Trust's Somerset's Brilliant Coast Project and the SeaWatch Foundation. No previous knowledge or training is required as experts and ID guides will be available. Several separate SeaWatch training events are being held by SWT during the year.

Know before you go
There is a short walk from the Esplanade Road to Battery Point along a footpath which includes some steps.
What to bring
You will need lots of warm and waterproof layers and stout warm footwear. Hats, gloves and scarves are also important. Bring food and warm drinks too. You will be staying in one spot for several hours. There are toilets and a café at the swimming pool which is a short walk from the survey site. A good pair of binoculars is recommended although we will have some spares you can borrow.
