In conversation with Somerset Wildlife Trust’s President Stephen Moss, Dame Margaret will share stories of her life and writing, childhood memories of holidays spent in Somerset. She will share why the stunning Exmoor coastline around Minehead, where she now spends much of her time, plays an important role in the plots of her novels.

As Dame Margaret is passionate about the coast, she will share with the audience why it is important we look after the coastline here in Somerset and protect the precious species that call it home. With this in mind all proceeds from the event will go to Somerset's Brilliant Coast Appeal
