Community & Events Fundraising Manager
Full time (or potentially four days a week for the right candidate)
£25,000 per annum FTE
Taunton with travel throughout Somerset
Are you an experienced charity fundraiser, with an interest in wildlife, looking to make your mark in a leading Somerset charity? Are you excited by the opportunity to develop a new sustainable income stream to help us ensure Somerset remains wildlife and habitat-rich? Could you establish a programme of successful fundraising events and build strong relationships among our existing supporters and the wider community, and motivate them to fundraise for us?
We’ll be looking to you to grow our community and events fundraising income which we believe has strong potential to build. You’ll do this by introducing new fundraising events which produce a strong return on investment, attract new and existing supporters, and you ‘ll know how to generate extra income through traders and sponsorship. Some experience of marketing events would be useful too but you will be working with our communications team to ensure our message gets out.
You will also use your strong influencing and communication skills to engage people across the county and will know how to inspire them to fundraise for us. Your personality and motivational skills will be needed and a successful track record working with volunteers is also desirable.
