The South East Area Group, in conjunction with Greener Cary, will be showing the film A Plastic Ocean on Wednesday 17th October at Caryford Hall in Castle Cary. Doors open at 7 pm, with the film to start at 7.30 pm. Tea and coffee served from 7pm.

This is a multi-award winning film uncovering the state of plastic pollution in our ecosystems and inspiring huge global change. It is described by Sir David Attenborough as “one of the most important films of our time”.

"In the center of the Pacific Ocean gyre our researchers found more plastic than plankton. A Plastic Ocean documents the newest science, proving how plastics, once they enter the oceans, break up into small particulates that enter the food chain where they attract toxins like a magnet. These toxins are stored in seafood’s fatty tissues, and eventually consumed by us." - plasticoceans.org

Cost: £2.50

Booking not required - buy tickets on the door.
