The 55th AGM wil be held from 11am until 1pm where new CEO Georgia Stokes will tell you all about the work we have completed in the last year across the county, and give you an insight of the year going forwards. The Members’ Day event in the afternoon titled 'Vanishing Insects - Vanishing Somerset Wildlife?, will this year discuss the importance yet threat to wildlife in Britain, especially here in Somerset. The panel of experts will advise us all on what we can do now to avoid this catastrophe.

Insects make up about two-thirds of all life on earth but there is growing concern at the catastrophic decline in insect numbers globally and recently many scientific reports, books and media articles have highlighted the issue. How will reduced insect numbers affect British wildlife? Come and hear how Somerset Wildlife Trust, as part of a national movement, is highlighting the urgent need to address this alarming issue. We will be joined by a panel of guest speakers who will discuss the importance of insect life in Britain, the implications of reduced insect numbers for us in Somerset and, what we can all do to avoid this looming catastrophe.
