About the event

June's Wildlife Watch Club is as part of #30DaysWild. We'll be heading over to Helwell Bay for some rockpooling and fossil hunting, where we'll learn about some of Somerset's pre-historic inhabitants!

You're very welcome to meet us at Nettlecombe and travel down with us - we have 15 spaces in our minibus which will be leaving from Nettlecombe Court at 12:35pm and arriving back at roughly 3:15pm. Expect to be doing rockpool-related activities for 45 minutes, before we regroup for a 20 minute break followed by some fossil hunting and learning for 30 minutes.

If you've been to Helwell before, you'll know the terrain is particularly rocky, so sturdy footwear — ideally wellies — is essential. Please bring wellies if you have them. If not, we have plenty available to borrow free of charge — just let us know on the booking form.

Please also bring sun protection and a drink. We'll provide some snacks, but feel free to bring your own as well.
