Young Voices for Nature screening at the Bloomin' Brilliant BioBlitz
Northover, Glastonbury, BA6 9FT
About the event
The Save our Wild Isles team has generously granted us permission to screen their film Young Voices for Nature - Our Beautiful Wild. This 30 minute documentary has been compiled by a stellar cast of inspiring young people to show what nature means to them. For more information see: https://www.saveourwildisles.org.uk/community/young-voices-for-nature
This screening is part of our Bloomin' Brilliant BioBlitz event that will also include bioblitz-style surveys, nature and wellbeing and craft activities, and information stands with local environmental organisations. The surveys and films need to be booked but you are welcome to visit the information stands or take part in the craft activities at a time that suits you. Please check out the full itinerary for more details.
Or you could just rest or refuel at The Old Tannery!
The event has been organised by Somerset Wildlife Trust with grateful thanks to South West Heritage Trust and Friends of Brides Mound for access to their land for the surveys, and the survey leads, organisations and volunteers who have donated their time and expertise. It is part of the Glastonbury Town Deal, which is funded by the UK Government's Towns Fund scheme, and Somerset Wildlife Trust’s Bogs and Bitterns project, which is funded by the UK Government's Species Survival Fund. The Species Survival Fund was developed by Defra and its Arm's-Length Bodies. It is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England and the Environment Agency.
