Things To Do : Gardening for Wildlife

Gardening for Wildlife

Wildlife Garden PondGardening for wildlife is about creating habitats for animals and plants to thrive alongside people. Every garden, however big or small is a potential nature reserve.

Research has shown that gardens are havens for wildlife in an era of declining natural habitat and climate change. More and more people are excited by knowing that their garden can become part of ensuring that the biodiversity of our native species is protected. Their rewards are the surprises that wildlife can bring.

The Gardening for Wildlife group was formed to provide support for those already enjoying wildlife gardening as well as to encourage more people in Somerset to become wildlife gardeners.
