What Does the Group Do?

The Somerset Badger Group provides an advisory service, which is often followed by practical action to resolve badger related problems.

They assist the general public, land owners and farmers with badger related issues or difficulties and also record badger setts, road incident casualties and other items of interest.

What are Group's Aims?

The aims of the group are to promote and conserve badgers and other wildlife, and promote a tolerance and understanding of them through education and projects aimed at all sections of the community.

The group has close links to the Badger Trust and works closely with Somerset Wildlife Trust.

Getting Involved

The group has occasional events and other awareness raising activities. Members participate in national surveys and also carry out the group’s own systematic surveys.
