Re-wilding education through first hand exploration of the natural world is exciting stuff. At Somerset Wildlife Trust we believe that children and young people only truly understand and appreciate the natural world when they have experienced it first hand. There is no substitute to a child listening to, smelling or touching the natural world, and through our education work we make sure that everyone comes away having experienced the natural environment in an inspiring way.
Through our Outreach Education Programme we offer opportunities for young people to confidently and safely explore the natural world through the provision of tailored learning sessions that meet the needs of individual groups and are linked to the curriculum.
We are able to offer learning activities at a number of different levels from key stage 1 to university level. For key stage 1 and 2 visits, download our Primary Visits Guide for more information on our sites and activities. For visits aimed at older groups, please contact the Education team at Somerset Wildlife Trust to discuss your requirements.
