A funded project to help farmers and land managers to reconnect and restore habitat for one of Mendip’s most charismatic species.

There are a number of specialist interest groups dedicated to conserving and recording Somerset’s rich wildlife and varied geology. Joining these groups is one of the best ways to get actively involved in recording and get support from fellow enthusiasts.

Our project has been to manage invasive species on our own reserves, but this is a threat that goes much wider, across Somerset and beyond. So we wanted to say goodbye on this project with some useful information on how to recognise these species for yourself in your garden or on your land, and what to do if you find them.
