John Scotford 
(Proposer: Lynn Osborne, Seconder: Ted Cawley)
John retired from his post as County Treasurer of Hampshire in 1997 and subsequently worked as a consultant on public finance issues in Eastern Europe. He was also the finance director of a start-up company providing nursery education in inner city areas in England. He has extensive experience of serving on the boards of not-for-profit organisations both here and in Australia where he lived for 6 years. On his return from Australia in 2011 he came to live in Somerset and was co-opted as a Trustee in 2012. He has been Treasurer to the Trust since 2013.

Patricia Stainton MA RCA    
(Proposer: Chris Smith, Seconder: Caroline Rathbone)

Patricia is currently Chairman of Somerset Wildlife Trust and has been actively involved for 20 years in many volunteer roles, including Chair of the Private and Community Nature Reserves Network and as a Children’s Watch Club Leader. With a BA in Graphic Design and a Masters Degree from the Royal College of Art, Patricia has taught in colleges and practised as a designer. She is joint partner in the design company Studio Levien. Patricia lives in Somerset at Cooks Farm near Bruton, where she manages 40 acres of land including two Local Wildlife Sites; she is also a keen wildlife gardener.

Richard Denton-Cox    
(Proposer: Joe Adams, Seconder: Liz Reeve)
Richard is a retired Civil Engineer who spent a career as a consultant on sustainable development in the construction industry. He spent 35 years of that career overseas, mainly in the Asia-Pacific region, and has travelled extensively through his work throughout the world.  He has been a Trustee since 2007 and was Treasurer from 2008 to 2013. He is also Chairman of SWT Sales Ltd, the service company of the Trust, which is responsible for First Ecology, the Trust’s ecological consultancy. He is an enthusiastic wildlife gardener and wildlife watcher.
