Please note this is a fixed-term contract for 3 days per week until October 2022 with the potential for additional days.

Somerset Wildlife Trust is a local independent charity and the only organisation uniquely focused on improving the natural environment of Somerset for the benefit of wildlife and people. It’s a really exciting time to be joining the Trust as we launch our new 10-year 'Wilder Somerset 2030' strategy.

At the heart of our strategy is the development of Nature Recovery Networks across the landscape with particular emphasis to engage and support landowners across the county to deliver nature-based solutions and nature recovery on their land.

We are recruiting for a new team member to co-ordinate our Mendip Hills based Facilitation Fund work and help shape our farm cluster approach across Somerset. This is important work that will enable our new vision; to deliver a Somerset wide nature recovery network creating more space for wildlife, benefiting everyone, and playing its part in helping us reverse biodiversity loss and tackle the climate crisis.

The successful candidate will be based in our office in Cheddar, with a mix of home and office working; you will also need to travel to locations around the county due to the rural nature of Somerset, using your own vehicle.

This is a fixed-term contract, ending in October 2022.

Working hours are 22.5 per week.

All applications must be received by 9.00 am on Monday 11th October 2021.

Interviews dates TBA.
