Training on how to carry out coastal watches for dolphins and porpoises  led by Vanessa Lloyd of the Sea Watch Foundation. The session will start with an introduction at the National Trust Pills Mill Study Centre near Allerford. This will include an illustrated talk on the general biology and classification of cetacean species, species identification, conservation issues and recommended survey methodology. This will be followed by a sea watch at Hurlstone point to put our skills into practice.
