How your fundraising helps

Being part of Team Wild is so much more than running a marathon or hiking a mountain, it is your chance to save wildlife for the future, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

It costs us almost £2,000 a day to manage all of our reserves, so every penny you raise will really help our wonderful wildlife here in Somerset.

could pay for providing water for livestock grazing a 10 hectare grassland reserve for a whole year.

Chancellors Farm - Steve Bond

could pay for 50 trees to help regeneration after conifer removal in bluebell woods

Roe deer at LOng Wood - Jeff Bevan

could pay for the materials needed to install or replace a gate

We'll support you!

A message from Kate, our Community and Events Fundraising Manager: “Somerset Wildlife Trust, like many other organisations is working within current Covid19 government guidelines. Many of our spring and summer events have been cancelled or postponed, so our apologies if you were looking forward to attending.   I will now be on furlough until such time I can continue the community fundraising programme at the level I would like and when we are all out the other side of the crisis.  But your sponsorship right now is more important than ever to help the Trust continue to protect our wildlife and wild places here in Somerset. If you have signed up to an event, please stay on board!  If you were thinking of taking on a Challenge, still enter and start training and fundraising.  Before too long we’ll be back and so will I to support you on the lead up to your challenge and after your big day, to help you reach your personal and fundraising goals."

When you join Team Wild, I’ll be here to support you from the moment you register, on the lead up to your challenge and after your big day, to help you reach your personal and fundraising goals.

You’ll receive:

Fundraising advice from Kate, our Community Fundraising Manager
A fundraising pack filled with top tips and ideas
A Team Wild t-shirt if you raise above £150
Regular updates on how your fundraising makes a difference

Run, walk, swim, ride, whatever you choose to do, join Team Wild and do it for wildlife!

I’m looking forward to welcoming you to the team and would love to hear from you.
