Join Team Wild for our first ever Abseil for Wildlife!

Coronavirus update: we’ve chosen to promote our challenges from August onwards and will be monitoring the situation closely. If events need to be postponed or cancelled, you will have the option to defer your place. Fundraising for wildlife is more important than ever in this time of uncertainty, so we urge you to sign up today to abseil for wildlife.

Have you ever wanted to step back and take that leap of faith from 120 feet? Perhaps you’re an adrenalin junkie, or maybe you want to overcome a fear of heights? Or perhaps you simply want to do something amazing whilst raising funds for wildlife?

Whatever your reason, we’re super excited to welcome you to Team Wild!
We’ve partnered with Aardvark Endeavours to put on this new challenge, and our proposed venue is Uphill Quarry near Weston-super-Mare.

Registration fee: £20
Sponsorship target: £120

A message from Kate, our Community and Events Fundraising Manager: “Somerset Wildlife Trust, like many other organisations is working within current Covid19 government guidelines. Many of our spring and summer events have been cancelled or postponed, so our apologies if you were looking forward to attending.   I will now be on furlough until such time I can continue the community fundraising programme at the level I would like and when we are all out the other side of the crisis.  But your sponsorship right now is more important than ever to help the Trust continue to protect our wildlife and wild places here in Somerset. If you have signed up to an event, please stay on board!  If you were thinking of taking on a Challenge, still enter and start training and fundraising.  Before too long we’ll be back and so will I to support you on the lead up to your challenge and after your big day, to help you reach your personal and fundraising goals."

If you want to be the first to hear when the date and venue is confirmed, please email Kate at fundraising@somersetwildlife.org and we’ll make sure you’re first to hear when we launch this exciting new challenge.
