My recovery plan

Michelle, 30, Chestnut Farm, Lincolnshire
Michelle was diagnosed with breast cancer in the summer of 2014. After undergoing a life-saving operation and an intensive chemotherapy course, she is on the road to recovery.

Wildlife has always been a big part of her life, but since falling ill she has found that birdwatching and wild places have given her the strength to make sure that her illness doesn’t dominate her life. And she can’t wait to get back to bird-ringing!

Wild places encourage our minds and bodies to recover from illness.
