A new art exhibition to celebrate wildlife

Saturday 6th October to Saturday 3rd November 2018, at ACEarts, Somerton.

British Wildlife Open is a new exhibition celebrating the best of British Wildlife art in various media, including paintings, prints, textiles and sculptures. Organised by Somerset Wildlife Trust, in partnership with local arts charity and gallery, ACEarts, the exhibition showcases some of the best contemporary art, inspired by Britain’s diverse wildlife. All proceeds from exhibition will be shared equally by Somerset Wildlife Trust and ACEarts to continue their important charitable work in Somerset.

The art on show has been selected from a high number of entries, and the artist selected as the overall winner by a panel of judges will win a solo exhibition at ACEarts in 2019. The full judging panel includes Simon King OBE, Wildlife Broadcaster and Patron of Somerset Wildlife Trust; Stewart Geddes, President of the Royal West of England Academy; Katie Arber, Director of Fundraising and Marketing, Somerset Wildlife Trust; Nina Gronw-Lewis, Curator of ACEarts; and Frank Martin, Trustee of ACEarts.

There is also opportunity for the public to vote for the best artwork when visiting, and the winner will be awarded the ‘People’s Prize’ (dinner donated by The White Hart, Somerton) at the end of the exhibition.
