Here's how you can join in the Somerset's Brilliant Coast Project and help protect Somerset's coastline for generations to come!
Join the Living Coasts Group as a volunteer or Coastal Ambassador
If you would like to get more involved with Somerset Wildlife Trust’s work as part of our LIVING COAST PROGRAMME you can join our Living Coasts Group. This group of enthusiastic volunteers meet regularly to share their knowledge about all things coastal. They help the Trust plan and deliver exciting events and activities such as guided walks, talks and workshops, help with surveying, monitoring and citizen science projects and assist with community engagement projects working with local community groups, youth clubs and schools.
We are also looking to recruit a team of Coastal Ambassadors who will become guardians of different stretches of the Somerset coast.
Take part in Shore-Search Surveys
Somerset Wildlife Trust is part of a nationwide citizen science project run by Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts. Its aim is to give people a simple way of surveying their local intertidal ecosystems to ensure we have good baseline data for the UK coast.
For more information on any of the above contact Somerset’s Brilliant Coast Project Manager, Mark Ward by emailing or ringing the Trust on 01823 652400 (or direct line 652415)
