Climate change, over-development and changes in land management are the biggest threats to wildlife.
If we don’t protect and enhance what we have now – in 50 years time it could be a different story.
We can offer advice to land owners and farmers on how they can look after their land with wildlife in mind. We can help them to access funding for wildlife-friendly land management. This advice focuses on the areas within a Living Landscape that will create links or continuous habitat.
We can try to influence plans and policies that either help us to promote a Living Landscape or prevent it. We work with planners on a local district level and county-wide.
We work with 46 other wildlife Trusts to actively campaign on regional and national issues, like the recent Lyme Bay campaign and the Severn Barrage.
