John Muir AwardWant to explore wild places, learn new skills, and have some fun along the way? Then the John Muir Award on the Quantocks may be just what your family are looking for this summer! What will happen during the week?We have a great programme of exciting hands on activities planned including fossil hunting, den building, stream dipping, moth traping and much more. Each day we will meet in a different area of the Quantocks to discover everything about this amazing place. On Friday evening we will have a barbque and night walk followed by an optional overnight camp at a local campsite. |

What is the John Muir AwardThe John Muir award is a nationally recognised environmental award promoting an awareness and apprecaition of wild places. It is made up of 4 challenges and takes 4 days to complete. By the end of the week you will have completed all four challenges and achieved your award. Check out www.jmt.org to find out more. How do I book?To book a place please download and complete the booking form and return to Jessy Emery, Somerset Wildlife Trust, Tonedale Mill, Wellington, TA21 0AW The week is open to families with children aged between 6 and 12. Children must be able to attend all four days and must be accompanied by an adult on each day. The week is free but a booking fee of £5 is required to reserve a place. This will be returned on completion of the week and can be paid in cash or cheque made payable to Somerset Wildlife Trust. A small charge of no more than £10 will be made for the camping.
