Taunton Wildlife Watch - Bird boxes and wildlife spotting
Saturday 24 February 10:00 - 12:00
It may seem a long way off but Spring will soon be on the minds of our urban and garden birds and it won’t be long before they start looking for nests in which to lay their eggs. So, at our next meeting, we will be helping them in their mission by building bird boxes that you can take home to put up in your garden. We will also be going on a walk around Longrun Meadow, looking for some of the different birds that make Taunton their home and maybe some other bird themed activities.
Please wear outdoor clothing and suitable footwear, maybe wellies if it has been raining as Longrun can be wet. Places are limited by the number of bird box kits we have so please book to let us know how many are coming and we can make sure we have enough. For this session we ask that all children remain accompanied by their parent or carer throughout.
Where: SWT offices, 34 Wellington Road, TA1 5AW. Parking is available at our office.
