Volunteer and Community Engagement Trainee  

Bursary of £750 per month with a £50 per month lump sum payment on leaving

Fixed term nine month placement – 9th January 2017 to 8th September 2017, five days per week with some evening and weekend work

Based at Somerset Wildlife Trust’s Taunton Office, or potentially at our Callow office, near Cheddar

Reserves Assistant -  Mendips  

£19,633 per annum, pro rata

Fixed term contract of 5 months

Based at Chancellors Farm near Priddy, Somerset

An opportunity exists for a Reserves Assistant to work for the Mendip Reserves team.  The job holder to start at the beginning of November and work until the end of March 2017 (5 months).  Based at Chancellors Farm near Priddy, and reporting to the East Mendip Reserves Manager, Liz Fishbourne, the successful candidate will help with the day to day management of reserves as well as supervising volunteers, contractors and trainees and liaising with farmers and other members of the public.

Our local wildlife is amazing and makes where we live unique and special. Hence, we're looking for people who can inspire members of the public to support a fantastic local environmental charity through making a regular financial donation.

Our teams work at a range of quality venues across Somerset (booked by our in-house team) such as shops, garden centres, county shows and events. No street fundraising.

Part & full-time roles available.  Earnings include basic pay from £7.50 upwards with achievable monthly commission + bonus to £20 per hour, depending upon performance. Benefits of employment include travel expenses and pension scheme. Full training is provided through our management team and Somerset Wildlife Trust.
