Finn and Orla

Guidelines for discussion

Our guidelines

We want everyone to enjoy the experience of watching Finn and Orla on our barn owl webcam and sharing their views, thoughts and excitement with others via our message board if they wish to, which is why we have put together a short commenting policy to ensure that everyone feels included and welcome.

Somerset Wildlife Trust will not be moderating comments, although we will check in from time to time with updates or things we think you'd like to know. We ask that if you comment on our message board, you make sure you follow the following simple rules. Thank you!

  1. Be kind, inclusive and considerate. Please treat everyone with respect. Degrading comments about race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated. Harassment, threatening, embarrassing or insulting other users will not be permitted.
  2. Respect everyone's privacy. Please do not share personal information publicly, including your own - such as email addresses - as these comments will be able to be seen by everyone.
  3. No promotions or spam. You're welcome to share relevant information that others may be interested in, but please do not share commercial adverts or nonsensical/irrelevant content. Please keep to the original subject matter of barn owls. That is why we're all here after all!
  4. Keep your comments clean. Vulgar language and profanity is not allowed as people of all ages and backgrounds will be viewing these pages, including children.
  5. Material protected by copyright may not be posted without the expressed permission of the copyright owner. Please get permission before sharing content that is not your own.

Thank you

By using the message board, you agree to follow these rules. Those that do not adhere to the guidelines will be not allowed further access to the discussion. Thank you for your cooperation!
