Annual Conference & AGM

Saturday October 15, at Draycott Village Hall, Mendip

Wildlife Gardening is the theme for this year’s Annual Conference and AGM to be held at Draycott Village Hall on Saturday, October 15.

Horticulturist and TV broadcaster Toby Buckland will be giving his top tips for creating a beautiful wildlife garden and you can put your questions to Toby and our experts from the Trust’s Wildlife Gardening Group at ‘Gardeners’ Question Time’. The conference will be followed by the AGM and a walk at our Westhay Moor National Nature Reserve. The closing date for bookings for lunches and the guided walk is Monday, 26 September.

11.30am ‘How to Have a Garden that’s as Beautiful to You as it is to Wildlife’ with guest speaker Toby Buckland

Former Gardeners’ World presenter and Chelsea gold medallist Toby Buckland is our special guest speaker at this year’s annual conference.

Following the event’s Wildlife Gardening theme Toby will be talking about ‘How to Have a Garden that’s as Beautiful to You as it is to Wildlife’.

Toby is a qualified horticulturist, TV broadcaster, author and a lifelong gardener. His career has taken him from Devon nurseryman, to professional gardener and on to presenting TV shows, including BBC Gardeners’ World.

He is an award winning garden designer, previously taking RHS Gold and Best in Show at BBC Gardeners’ World Live. Toby also lectures and writes for a variety of horticultural journals and newspapers. His latest book ‘Flowers Planning and Planting for Continuous Colour’ was published in April.

Entry is off A371 - Cheddar - Wells Road, near to the recreation ground. Parking is at the Hall.

The hall is wheelchair accessible and has a hearing loop.
