Taunton Watch Group - River Dipping
Saturday 28 July 10:00 - 12:00
Come and join us for an exciting chance to get our wellies on and investigate some of animals that call our rivers home. We will be going to Hemyock in the beautiful Blackdown Hills (about a 20min drive from Taunton) to search the River Culm for cool crustaceans including crayfish (think freshwater lobsters!), signs of otters and lots of minibeasts that live under the stones in the river. We will be joined by the Blackdown Hills Crayfish Project Manager who will guide us around.
Please wear wellies and suitable outdoor clothing and bring any water, sun cream and snacks you may want.
Where: Hemyock (precise location and parking arrangements will be given on booking)
Contact/Booking - Booking is essential so please let us know if you would like to come along and give the numbers, names and ages of your children by emailing: email@example.com. We will be by the river, so we would like all children to remain accompanied by their parent / guardian at all times.
Cost: This event is free but donations are always very welcome.
