£17,510 - £18,510 Full Time
Based in Taunton
Are you an experienced administrator with an interest in wildlife and conservation keen to apply your skills to help a local charity run smoothly and have an even bigger impact in the county?
We are looking for an Office Administrator who is self-motivated, very well organised, with experience of working in a busy office. Reporting to our Business Support Manager, you will support a whole range of office activities from human resources and premises, to volunteering and health and safety. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel and experience of using databases, with a strong attention to detail and document presentation skills. You will also take minutes at key Trust meetings and be required to attend occasional events outside of normal working hours. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills, and discretion, will enable you to work successfully with a wide range of people, including staff working at other locations in Somerset.
A quick learner, who can hit the ground running, you will be experienced in managing conflicting priorities, and remain calm and focused under pressure. As well as following existing processes and procedures, we are looking for someone who will help us improve the support we give to the charity’s staff and volunteers. And as part of a small team, you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and support the overall objectives where needed. No two days will be the same and you will be working with a team of passionate people all keen to ensure Somerset remains a wildlife-rich and habitat-diverse county.
