Long Term Volunteering opportunities
Starting Summer 2017
Are you interested in pursuing a career in the field of nature conservation but don’t yet have the necessary experience or skills? Are you keen on working outdoors and would you be happy to do so in all weathers? Have you got a minimum of 3 days a week to spare to help support the maintenance of wildlife habitats in Somerset.
We have openings for Volunteer Reserves Assistants who will assist our Reserves Managers with practical estate management on a variety of nature reserves all over Somerset. You should be physically fit and be willing to work flexibly and have access to transport. In exchange, we will pay for you to obtain accredited certificates in First Aid (3 day), Chainsaw and Brush Cutting skills. You will gain confidence, a broader understanding of habitat management, and all against the backdrop of some stunning countryside.
