Managing 1,700 hectares of land and delivering conservation programmes to ensure the next generations are able to enjoy the wildlife-rich landscapes we do today is an enormous undertaking. We rely heavily on membership to generate the funds we need to do this. We cannot safeguard precious habitats and vulnerable wildlife in Somerset without the support of those who live and work around them.

How your membership will help Somerset’s wildlife

The generosity of our members helps to fund all our conservation work. We will use your membership where it is needed most, be it creating species rich meadows to support butterflies,  improving native woodland to support small mammals, or managing water on our wetlands to protect our most precious wading birds or giving people, especially children, a chance to explore and connect with nature.

72p in every £1 donated is spent directly on nature conservation. We invest 15p in every £1 into securing extra funding for our work and 13p in every £1 is spent on the necessary running costs to ensure that we can deliver for Somerset’s wildlife.
